Biometrics

Biometric attendance system is a latest attendance system that identifies an individual on the basis of psychosomatic and behavioral characteristics. Biometric attendance system is considered to be more reliable as every individual contains distinct biological characteristics. Because of this reason biometric attendance system is rapidly spreading all over. Generally biometric  attendance system contains three basic elements:

  1. Biological enrollment of an individual,

  2. Once an individual is enrolled, the device creates a template that has enrollee’s data stored in it.

  3. During the final process, the device compares live biometric information given by the corresponding employee with the template.

Few examples of biometric attendance systems are Fingerprint systems, face recognition systems, voice recognition etc.
